Chords
Flat-Two Strum
Walkin' is in duple meter (two-beat meter). Thus, we'll use the Flat-Two Strum for this piece: count aloud "1-2" as you strum on beats one and two.
Flat-Two Strum | Two down strums per measure in duple meter (2/4)
Most of the chords in Walkin' change once per measure or every two beats. However, the second to last measure has two chords—Dm and G7—one on each beat. Spend extra practice time perfecting the transition between chords. Both chords share a common note—F on the first fret of the second string—and the transition is easier if that note is left down during the transition. Once transitions are smooth, practice playing with the audio track.
