Frary's Prelude 2 “Morning Song”

Peter Kun Frary

.

I was born a night owl and loved to sleep until noon. And that life was glorious and befitting me as a musician. At some point, one must grow up, and getting a 9-to-5 job nixed my old life. And thus I celebrate sunrises with my composition, Prelude 2 “Morning Song.”

Prelude 2 commences with a gentle two-measure vamp. The main motive enters at measure 3 and should be executed with vigor. The emotional energy continues building to measure 9, climaxing with a big, fat G chord. Thereafter, the mood subsides to thoughtful reflection and a softer, gentler final statement of the opening motive.
