The stretch of reef-protected white sandy beaches nestled between Waikiki and Honolulu Harbor is known as Ala Moana (path to the sea). The civic center of this area is Ala Moana Center, the world's largest open-air shopping center and tourist shopping paradise. Ala Moana Beach Park, popular for picnics, surfing and jogging, is the backdrop for most of these images.
