Quiz "How To"

If you have never taken a test or quiz on Lamakū, this tutorial is for you. To insure a smooth experience, we recommend that you:

• Use a fast internet connection such as cable or DSL.
• Use a computer.

Cell networks are prone to disconnects and slowdowns and are not recommended for mission critical applications. If a fast connection is not available at home, use the Wi-Fi at any UH campus.

Computer

Although Lamakū works on a smartphone, it is optimized for the larger screens of the PC and Mac. For example, you may wish to open the textbook in a tab while taking a quiz or test on Lamakū. The extra screen space and ability to see both the quiz and textbook simultaneously on a computer is helpful.

Getting Started

To begin, click the Quizzes tool link on the Lamakū toolbar.

One inside, you'll see a “Quiz List,” a list showing current, future and past quizzes. Open a current quiz by clicking on it. Finally, click "Start Quiz!" and dive in. Test and quiz sessions are untimed but must be submitted by the due date.

Closing & Opening Times

All tests, quizzes and forums open at 12:00 AM and close at 11:59 PM on the designated days.

A Second Chance

If you miss questions, study the textbook, and retake the quiz or test to improve your grade. The highest earned grade is retained. Quizzes may be retaken once within the due date window.

Answer Choice Shuffle

To enhance security, answer choices are shuffled. If you retake a quiz, answer choices are the same, but presented in a different order.

 

Grades

Your grade will be posted in the Lamakū Grades tool (Lamakū toolbar) after submission.
