Peninsula Foods | Quilcene, Washington

I took this photo in the parking lot of Peninsula Foods in Quilcene, a location my grandfather took me for soda when I was a kid. During the 1960s, cold drinks were kept just outside the door in a cooler filled with circulating water! We drank it right there to avoid the bottle deposit fee.

While in Quilcene, we got "looks" from the locals. They're not used used to Asian looking tourists—or any tourists—wielding cameras and snapping pictures in the middle of the village.
