Fremont Street Experience | Laa Vegas, Nevada |
The far western edge of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas during the "Summer of '69" celebration in 2009. Those are fake hippies on stage. EOS 5D and EF 24-105 4L IS USM
Same old BS during winters but with seasonal adjustments for entertainment. The Golden Gate Casino (left) is the oldest hotel in Vegas, dating from 1906. Rainy day reflection of Golden Gate signage:

During summers Fremont Street is the coolest outdoor location in Vegas. The LED display canopy retains some AC pouring out of casinos while deflecting the blazing Nevada sun. A typical summer day on the Strip is 100-110 degrees F., so Fremont Street is a surprisingly pleasant experience if you like to casino hop or people watch |

During the past decade, sound levels on Fremont Street have increased. It was always loud, but now they are painfully loud, so bring earplugs if you value your hearing. I'm not sure if the aging sound techs are losing their hearing or the overabundant performances are merely trying to one-up one another. EOS 90D and EF-s 18-135 3.5-5.6 IS USM |
