In Memoriam | National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Hawaii

Peter Kun Frary | Photographer

The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific—an extinct volcano commonly known as Punchbowl—was originally called Pūowaina by native Hawaiians. Punchbowl is a memorial to those who served in the United States Armed Forces and the gateway to Rountop Drive.

The translucent relief depicted above is Lady Columbia. She's found in the chapel overlooking the grounds of the memorial.
