A fountain by Armand Vaillancourt, installed at the Embarcadero Center plaza. Supposedly it is a pro Quebec sovereignty statement. I liked that it was designed to allow viewers to walk inside, over and under the work, all the while surrounded by moving water.

I really cranked up my flash to illuminate it against the backlight of the noontime sun.
