may 05 | Week 16
Overview
The time of reckoning draweth nigh but, first, we have two topics to explore before Test 4: kī hōʻalu and 'ukulele. By midweek, you'll be up to speed on the history and technique of kī hōʻalu and 'ukulele, and able to identify significant works and musicians.
Kī hōʻalu
Kī hōʻalu means "loosen the key" and is the Hawaiian name for slack-key guitar, a guitar style unique to the Hawaiian islands.
'Ukulele
We extend our stay in the Hawaiian islands to experience the bedazzling and world famous 'ukulele.

Final Exam | Test 4
Time to make whoopee with Test 4 over the Music In The 19th Century and Music In The 20th Century units. Be ready to identify era, style, genre, composer, etc., of music studied in these units.
Test 4: 5/08 to 5/12
Grades
This test is worth a potential 100 points. Tests are untimed and may be retaken once if within the due date window. After submission, your score will be available in the Lamakū Grades tool.
Avoid Peak Hours
Due to high user volume on Lamakū and Google, test audio may not load during peak weekday use times of early mornings and evenings. From 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM are congested. Midday, late at night during weekdays and all weekend have little traffic. Avoid peak hours and nix needless frustration.
SLO Accomplishment
By providing evidence of knowledge and skills gained with tests, quizzes and forums, you have fulfilled course learning outcomes: identify popular, art, and traditional music of major Western and Non-Western civilizations; explain the function of music within diverse cultures; and analyze musical styles and their roles within the context of history and society.
