Strange Greenage | Honolulu HI

A mini forest of strange segmented stalks on the side of the road. I've heard the locals call it snake grass. I think this particular one is called Equisetum hyemale, or rough horsetail, and is native to northern Asia. Seems to be popular in Asian cuisine. Well, according to Wikipedia. I haven't tried eating it yet!
