A brown anole or American chameleon visits my garden in morning light.

The visitor watches me intently from his perch, waiting for this human to disturb the soil. As I work the earth, he suddenly flings himself into the fray, gunning for a tasty grub or insect. He remembers his experiences, and returns each day to feast on the scurrying morsels I liberate. Mr. Anole is getting fat.
