Latourell Falls Creek | Columbia River Gorge OR |
It was pouring rain, so I could only squeeze out a few frames before grabbing my tripod and bolting. It was so hard that my umbrella was nearly useless. The overcast skies of the Pacific Northwest are like a giant soft-box, providing ideal light for shooting waterfalls and streams: soft, even light with no hot spots. And with dozens of waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, Oregon is hog heaven for waterfall and stream shooters. EOS 5D MK II, EF 24-105 4L IS USM, and Gitzo Mountaineer tripod |
