Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Park | Honolulu HI

Gateway Park, renamed Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Park in 2007, still called Gateway Park by most locals, lies at 1041 Bethel Street, adjacent to the Hawaii Theatre. Until 2014 Gateway Park was a lovely oasis with landscaping, pond and waterfalls. Sadly, now it's an uninviting patch of sterile concrete with Dr. Sun on a pedestal in the center.
