| This historic brick building was once the Guilford Cannery and processed millions of Puget Sound clams, salmon and other seafood. My mother worked in the accounting office and used to mail geoduck clam and salmon to me after I moved to Hawaii. Guilford ceased operations decades ago and the building fell into disrepair. It was eventually renovated into a small waterfront hotel with rustic exterior appointments and a luxury interior.
