Oswald West State Park | Oregon Coast

Oswald West State Park is 10 miles south of Cannon Beach and just off Highway 101.

Oswald has it all: towering sea cliffs, old growth forest, endless hiking trails and miles of pounding surf. Oh, and pea soup fog nearly everyday. On a sunny July day, I saw a huge fog bank roll in at 3:00 PM. Within minutes the entire area was cold and dark. I could hear voices from inside the fog and yet saw nobody. It was tough driving on Highway 101 with 25 feet of visibility. This image is near Cape Falcon.
