Biryong Falls (비룡폭포) and Trail | Seoraksan (설악산), Korea

Peter Kun Frary | Photographer

A small waterfall along the Biryong Falls (비룡폭포) trail, arguably nicer than the main falls due to its uncluttered appearance and interesting viewpoint.

The walk to Biryong Falls (비룡폭포) was a pleasant two-hour hike, with fresh air and ample photographic opportunities along the way. However, it's all about the journey: once we arrived at Biryong Falls we were underwhelmed. The falls were small, crowded and cluttered with ugly signage and fences around and above it. Of course, we were spoiled having visited the Columbia Gorge earlier that Summer! The zoomed in image below was the best I could manage of Biryong Falls without showing the unattractive clutter.
