Old Friends at Point Wilson | Port Townsend, Washington

Point Wilson is located in Fort Worden State Park, a massive WWII relic adjacent to the Victorian era city of Port Townsend in Northern Washington State. The lighthouse stands at the corner of the stormy Strait of Juan de Fuca and the relatively calm Puget Sound. The windswept trees bear witness to the harsh conditions at the point. During my high school days this was a popular place to cut class, burn Mary Jane and enjoy submarine races.

Point Wilson Lighthouse from the roundabout. In high school, I loved blazing through the roundabout on my Honda 305 Scrambler. Now that section of the road is a wind swept walking trail with comely views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Admiralty Inlet.
