Dragon Fruit Flower | Honolulu HI

I was sadden to learn the dragon fruit is not the love child of dragons. Its birth mother is the pitahaya cactus. Pitahaya flowers bloom overnight, wilting the next day after pollination by creatures of the night. This Pitahaya flower was huge—near football size—and I accidentally bumped it while taking its picture with camera held over my head. I was dusted by sticky dragon pollen. Strange dreams ensued that night…
