Sidewalk markets in Chinatown.

Long ago Chinatown was known for fresh locally grown produce. Now most veggies and fruits are imported and/or grown on factory farms and soaked in pesticides and preservatives. Although not tasty or healthy to eat, they make a nice picture! If you look around you can still find venders with "unsprayed" tree ripened produce from backyards and small farms. You are pretty much stuck with growing your own if your want to eat true unsprayed organic veggies and fruits.
